Youth

United Methodist Youth Fellowship (UMYF)

The UMYF or Youth Group at Christ United Methodist Church is for any teenager in the grades 7th through 12th.  UMYF meets every Sunday night throughout the year from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.  At UMYF, teens have fellowship, play games, sing worship songs, socialize, and have fun.  Also, UMYF goes on many trips throughout the year including their annual mission trip.  For three years the UMYF has gone on a weeklong mission trip and this year they went to Harlan, Kentucky.  The UMYF is directed by David Leverett and the officers are, president: Sam Bases, vice president: Allison Lawton, treasurer: Tim Zaprazny, and secretary: Jessica Bases.

Acolyte Program

The Acolyte Program at Christ United Methodist Church provides children from 2nd through 12th grades an opportunity to participate in the worship service. Acolytes perform their duties at both services on Sunday and are called upon for evening holiday services.  Their duties include lighting and extinguishing the candles, assisting with offertory, and collecting the attendance registers for delivery to the pastor.  David and Lorraine Coates are in charge of the Acolyte Program.

Sky Lake
